K.K., U10 | 4th year player
Since joining this academy, I’ve come to love soccer even more. The coaches are kind and make every practice enjoyable, so I always look forward to training. They are not only friendly but also strict when needed, which helps me clearly understand my weaknesses and what I need to improve. Through the training, I’ve noticed my skills, such as ball control and shooting, gradually improving. I really enjoy practicing with the coaches and my teammates, and it motivates me to keep working hard and become a better player |
T.N., U14 | 1st year player
I had never played sports before moving to Canada, and starting soccer at Joyous was a brand new challenge for me. At first, I didn't even know how to kick a ball and struggled to keep up with the pace, which was tough. |

Team Japan Soccer Clinic Recap
2026.07.18 | Japanese Soccer Community
|
To thank everyone for their incredible support of Team Japan during the 2026 BC Nations Cup, we were excited to host a one-day Team Japan Soccer Clinic for young players in our community.
Throughout the clinic, Team Japan players led engaging training sessions focused on technical skills and game situations. The participants had a fantastic opportunity to train alongside players they look up to, making it a fun and memorable experience for everyone. The event concluded with friendly matches, where players put what they had learned into practice and enjoyed playing together. We also held a Q&A session, giving participants the chance to ask Team Japan players about soccer, school, college athletics, and their personal experiences. We were delighted to receive many positive comments from both players and parents, including requests to make this a regular event. Hearing such encouraging feedback made the day even more rewarding for our Team Japan members. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, and to all of the Team Japan players who helped make this event a success! |
